Exhaustion is a brutal mistress.
I hate her.
She is taking over my life and leaving behind a shriveled shell of the Anissa that once was.
You know what else sort of sucks right about now??
Papercuts from cardboard. Did you even know you could get those? Well, you can. They hurt and inspire new and inventive curses.
The costs of moving…they are LARGE…and never-ending…and a monumental pain the butt. If we have one more unexpected expense pop up I may have to seriously consider how many kidneys my family really needs to exist.
Convincing yourself that you won’t need a thing, only to find out two days later that the thing is absolutely mission critical…and YOU threw IT away!
Realizing that at over a period of time you’ve spent upwards of $600 in books about cancer, only to know that NOT ONE of them actually helped out at all.
Stressing out about a going away party for which you throw out enough invitations to choke a small pony, only to feel relieved when half the invitees can’t make it and then realize that your leaving is, in fact, NOT A BIG DEAL.
But the good thing?
The moving countdown is down to twelve days…the torture is almost over.
And?!! AND!!!
Because our T-mobile service is non-existant in our neighborhood in GA and the only way I could make a phone call on my cell is to drive four miles away from our house, we had to change service providers. No big deal, Tmobile waved the $469059208239 fee they normally charge to get out of the contract and I flew on the wings of angels to the land of IPhones and apps! Only to decide that I do not like the IPhone as much as I thought I did and instead got a shiny new Blackberry that is so full of awesome that Jehovah’s Witnesses unicorns keep showing up at the door to ask if they can make a call!
If an IPhone and a Blackberry made sweet sweet love and produced a child….THIS PHONE would be the fruit of their illicit union.
SHINY!
And YES I may be inordinately excited about a cell phone, but for REAL, this thing loves me just as much as I love it!
My needs are simple.
Let me take my moments of happy where I find them.
OH! And the kids are out of school for the summer so the early morning shuffle is officially at an end. Huzzzzah!

I’d write a sympathetic comment, but I am dead from iPhone envy.

My IT guy (aka my hubby) keeps taking our system down (aka my email) so….did I miss the party already? I thought I was bringing the cake!

If I lived in FL, I would have come to your party. BUT I wasn’t invited.
Not that I’m bitter or anything.
Because I don’t hold grudges.
But a shiny new black berry *might* make me feel a little bit better about having been left out…
Jus sayin’.

I feel your pain – moving sux — I constanly wish someone would do me a solid and just toss a molotov in the direction of my home — I’ll take the dogs and just walk away, whistling like I know nothing at all! — but no, I’m stuck having to clean up after myself.
BUT, the upside — there is happy madness moving to Georgia !! YEAH !!

GIRL. I love my blackberry. I considered the iPhone for about 30 seconds but decided I needed a raised keyboard. I have the Curve, but THAT is gorgeous.

Didn’t like the iPhone? I don’t know that. But I am happy for you!

You’ve survived childbirth, stroke, and your child’s cancer…you can survive this move!
(Sorry, that’s all of the pep talk I could muster!)
Impressive phone. Makes my POC look like, well, a POC!!!

Yes, exhaustion can be a bitch. Not that I can proclaim to know anything about the ‘kinds’ of exhaustion you’ve lived through over the past few years…and now you’re growing up and moving away. Wish I could come help lighten your load! Know what- I totally suck at cleaning my own house (NO ONE can argue this, it’s bad…real bad) but I am so totally freakin’ organized at someone else’s place. Test me, try me out, gimme a ring…you’ve got twelve days, right? I’m all yours, for free.
I mean it. COME ON. What time shall I come over, early next week is good, I’m assuming?
My kid is screaming for me at ten o’clock on Friday evening- yes, life is good over here. But don’t forget that I’m coming Sunday. OH yes, I’m coming. SO this is a BIG DEAL. Assuming you got my RSVP? Assuming you remember that you invited me in your massive plea-for-attention-right-before-you-run-away-thing? May even bring my chit’lins out to your wild party. Chit’lins. That’s Georgia talk, ya know. I know ’cause I got Georgia in my family. Mostly my husband’s family, and I hope you aren’t headed where they are…I don’t remember their little squat village’s name, but it’s nothing. Middle of nowhere. Jason loves going to see his family for vacation. Crap about the fresh air, all the ‘nature’ around, blah, blah, blah…I just sit there and feel sorry for them- they drive an hour and a half to ‘get to town,’ which would be Savannah. (Pronounced reeeeeaaaallllll Southern-like.) They just got themselves a Target store not too long ago ‘in town’ and they have MADE IT, as far as they know. They do not believe that there are two Targets within ten minutes of my home, the mall, like forty Walmarts, now even an IKEA (which I have not visited yet- can you believe it?) Now I remember, they live in Lyons, GA. Kinda close to Macon, maybe?? The nearest grcocery store is almost forty-five minutes away. Isn’t that crazy? That people live like that? OH, wait- I remember now that you grew up in a bunch of cornfields or something, right? Did they have strange accents there? Electricity and plumbing? I’m sorry. I am just wishing for better for you and your babies. ‘Cause I love ya’ll like that.
What should I bring Sunday??? OOOOHHH, I just thought of something that’s one of my favorite things around here, a little gadget that’s, like totally changed my life. And it will for you, too. Yes, your name is now on the extra one I picked up for someone (not knowing who at the time.) A God thing, I dunno.
Speaking of God things, for the past few weeks ‘your’ verse- the Romans 12:12- has totally been smack-center in my head. I don’t know why. But I love it. I love seeing it on your blog. That, and I been trying to remind myself to ‘consider it all joy,’ something of a family verse, even. Have you checked out wildolive.com? I think it’s that, maybe wildolivetees.com or something. Cute shirts with different verses. That MckMama from mycharmingkids.net- baby Stellan’s mom (I know that you, as the Queen of Blogland or whatever- certainly know what I’m blabbing about here)- but a shirt was designed with them in mind, the front says, ‘No. Thing.’ and the back says the rest, the verse about how NOTHING can separate us from the love of God…so comforting.
And now I will stop writing, feeling the comfort I get from just clicking and clacking here at my keyboard…the kid still wants me. I guess it’s nice to be wanted. Even if just to fetch a drink of water.
Good night, my friend!

To whomever it may concern:My previous comment (as well as this one) was left by automated spamming software. I just took a look at some of the sites that it hit and I see that it seems to have left comments in inappropriate places that made the comments themselves seem pretty damn insensitive. I just wanted to clear up the fact that I never actually read any of the posts and I’m really not a horrible person – It was all done automatically by a robot that left a comment on a bunch of blog posts that contained the phrase “my life sucks”. I sincerely apologize if I offended anyone – I’m just a spammer who was trying to get links to his site.If you haven’t already, you should probably delete the original comment, along with this one.
