I am about to get in my van and driving away from all that is dearest and nearest to my heart.
My husband.
My children.
See ya!
I am going out of town for the weekend and I’m planning to love every moment of it.
Bonus?
I’m going with strangers.
Well, sort of strangers.
Only strangers in the sense that we’ve never met or actually spoken before.
But lots and lots of emails and blog visits.
People, you forget, I got married to someone I met on the internet…why would I have issues with spending the night with four people I’ve never laid eyes on?
I’m carpooling to Orlando with this one.
Where we’re staying with her.
And she’s going to show up and party like a rock star.
Perhaps if a miracle happens, we will also get to see this guy.
We were supposed to be getting in a vehicle and road-tripping to New Orleans this very weekend to attend a conference that got cancelled. Booooooo! Instead we’re going to have our very own blogger conference right here…with food and stuff and maybe we won’t get cool bags of swag, but there might be a trip to IKEA involved. Who knows?!
Stay tuned, because there will probably be some interesting posts as a result, I guarantee some pictures of the chaos and I wouldn’t bet against some mad twittering.
And BTW, Peter’s heading to Las Vegas for the week. How bitter am I about that? Wish him luck because he is freaked about getting on an plane.
OH, and next week I’ve got some RAWKIN’ giveaways and fun stuff to share with you. Hopefully it’ll keep my mind off the impending panic attacks over Peyton’s end of chemo date.

We had a failed adoption and I had named the little boy Peyton. We spent 3 days with him in the nursery while the birth mom relaxed. In the end her father made her keep the baby. I love the name Peyton – you know it means WARRIOR. I hope that blesses you to know and that you realized how blessed you are to have him!

I want a weekend away! My husband even has to work tomorrow, so it totally nullifies the Saturday. I am quite envious! :o)
